Ingredients:
1 portion of puff pastry (ready-made or homemade)
4 apples, peeled and cut into thin slices
100 g butter
150 g sugar
1 tsp. vanilla extract
1 tbsp. lemon juice
fresh thyme for decoration
Preparation:
Preheat the oven to 200°C.
Unroll the pastry layer onto a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
In a saucepan, heat the butter with the sugar and vanilla extract until caramelized, stirring.
Add apples and lemon juice. Cook, stirring, for about 5 minutes, until the apples are soft and the caramel has thickened.
Place the apples on top of the pastry layer.
Bake the tart in the oven for about 25-30 minutes, until the pastry is golden.
Allow the tart to cool slightly before serving.
Serve the tart with caramel and apples, garnished with fresh thyme.
